Effects of Anorexia

The most common type of eating disorder is Anorexia. I am sure that a lot of people have heard a lot about what Anorexia can do to a person. And I am more certain that there are a number of people who have experienced it first hand. Even though Anorexia is the most common of all the eating disorders, it is also the most dangerous of them all because it is a very subtle eating disorder.

According to several articles for eating disorder symptoms, a person can easily develop this, a part of the reason why it is the most common. Anorexia can begin through a person’s refusal to eat anything. It starts with skipping meals daily until it turns into a habit of not taking in any food. Part of the psychological effect of Anorexia to a person is the denial of becoming skinny even if there is actually a drastic loss of weight.

Aside from the most obvious sign of becoming skinny, other changes in the body can also be observed. And some of these changes are not even that related to losing weight. Take for example the great amount of falling hair even when a person is not combing his/her hair.

This is due to the fact that there are not enough nutrients to sustain even the growth of the hair. Anorexia is also suitable for those who love to cook since they can indulge themselves with whatever they are cooking without actually eating them. Or sometimes, they get their satisfaction from seeing other people eat the food that they have cooked.

Anorexia can truly depict the fact that if you abuse your body, it will take its toll on you in the long run.
